PBA Images.MANILA — Aaron Fuller and Caelan Tiongson imposed their will as the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters overwhelmed Barangay Ginebra San Miguel, 110-99, in the PBA Season 50 Governors' Cup on Sunday at the Araneta Coliseum in Cubao.
Fuller showcased his all-around game with 37 points, 12 rebounds, five assists, and two steals, while Tiongson provided steady production inside and out with 21 points on five three-pointers as Rain or Shine notched its second straight win in four games.
"Fuller attracts much attention down low, so it's just our job to make our shots," said Tiongson, who played a key role in RoS’ third-quarter surge that stretched its lead to as many as 18 points.
Adrian Nocum and Jhonard Clarito also chipped in 13 points apiece, while Deo Cuajao provided a spark with nine points for Rain or Shine, which dominated the boards, 46-37, and outscored Ginebra in the paint, 52-22.
Meanwhile, Riley Grigsby scored 25 points, including four four-pointers on eight attempts, while RJ Abarrientos and Troy Rosario added 13 points each for Ginebra, which trimmed the deficit to as low as nine in the fourth quarter.
However, the Gin Kings' 21 turnovers proved too costly as the Elasto Painters converted them into 27 points while also holding a 12-to-3 advantage in fast-break points.
