With “idol” revealed as the word of the night, “Kapamilya, Deal or No Deal” host Luis Manzano kicked off the August 1 episode by chatting with several Lucky Stars in the studio.
Veteran actor Jeffrey Santos was asked by the Pambansang Host to name the celebrities who continue to inspire him. Jeffrey revealed that he looks up to both action superstar Fernando Poe Jr. and Comedy King Dolphy, saying they remain pillars of the entertainment industry whose legacy continues to inspire even after their passing.
However, Jeffrey has someone he considers his “idol” among his fellow Lucky Stars. The actor jokingly admitted that seasoned entertainer Long Mejia makes him feel “insecure” every time they see each other. Long played along, wittily replying that Jeffrey’s answer came as no surprise to him.
The lighthearted atmosphere in the studio gradually shifted to one of excitement and tension as the Lucky Wheel determined Sharlene San Pedro’s fate as the evening’s celebrity player. Her assigned briefcase, number 20, was ultimately selected.
Evoking a wave of nostalgia, Sharlene opened her introduction video with a classic "Goin’ Bulilit" joke, much to the delight of her fans. She then reflected on how her showbiz journey began in "Star Circle Kid Quest," where she finished as first runner-up.
Some time after the competition, Sharlene joined the iconic children’s sketch comedy show "Goin’ Bulilit," where she became widely recognized. Beyond her natural flair for comedy, she also demonstrated her acting range through various teleseryes.
Sharlene now pursues a career as a video game content creator, spending much of her time livestreaming the games she plays. Having more time to spend with her family is one of the many reasons she enjoys her current lifestyle.
