After repeatedly violating protocols and defying Director Delgado's orders, Sam (Julia Montes) has been formally placed under preventive suspension by the NCIA administration.
During their candid conversation, Dir. Delgado told Sam that due to her intelligence and discipline, he had earned his trust as one of the agency's most reliable agents. That was precisely why he was so disappointed to see her allow her emotions to cloud her judgment.
He revealed that he repeatedly tried to protect and defend her, but it was Sam who had been destroying herself. It frustrated him that Sam disobeyed his orders, put the lives of her fellow agents in danger, and conducted an interrogation without going through the proper process and even hurt a potential witness to the case—which was Mr. Chan (Mike Castillo), business partner of gold smuggling syndicate leader, Victor Zafra (JM de Guzman).
Dir. Delgado further told Sam that she should never let her personal or family problems affect her. Although she did those with good intentions, he reminded her that as law enforcers, they must be the first to uphold and abide by it.
As painful as it was for him, Dir. Delgado told Sam that he had no choice but to serve her the preventive suspension order. It may not be good for her record, but he firmly believes that it's the best for her since she has been emotionally involved with the case. After she signed the document, he asked her to leave her badge and gun.
When she was about to exit his office, Dir. Delgado advised Sam, "Gamitin mo ang panahon na 'to para mag-isip. Makakatulong sa'yo 'to para maging mas mabuting agent. I know you will find your way."
