Immediately following Valerie’s (Daniela Stranner) rejected proposal to Jordan (James Reid) inside his bar, they step outside and have a serious conversation. Jordan then offers an apology, explaining that he loves Valerie but isn’t really ready to get engaged yet. Upon hearing this, Valerie bitterly responds, feeling like she has wasted a year of their relationship.
Jordan makes clear that he’s still refusing to say yes, but that doesn’t mean that they’re breaking up. There are still plenty of things that Jordan desires to do, such as caring for his Lolo Jude (Leo Rialp) and saving for the future. Valerie goes on to claim that Jordan doesn’t seem to love her enough to make a commitment, especially since she isn’t part of his plans.
In spite of Jordan repeatedly expressing his love for Valerie, she believes that it’s not enough for him to give a yes. Billy (Kathryn Bernardo) then swiftly follows after Valerie, who was getting ready to leave. When Valerie sees Billy, she confronts her, pointing out that Billy was completely aware of Jordan’s hesitation.
At that point, Jordan comes out to defend Billy, though Valerie persists with her argument, naming Billy as the reason she proposed in the first place, particularly as she thinks that Billy is of greater importance for Jordan.
Billy disagrees and stresses that she and Jordan are simply friends. Believing nothing from Billy, Valerie speaks about the way Jordan and Billy gazed at one another and their tight embraces, as well as the way that Jordan would immediately head to Billy whenever she was struggling. In response, Jordan argues that Oliver’s (Migz Casimiro) medical emergency is no small matter and that Billy’s family is all that he has left.
With Billy’s name brought up again, Valerie decides to leave and expects karma to come for them. Just as Valerie departs and Jordan comes back inside, Billy prepares to get into her car but notices huge vandalism on it.
