After several days of being in a coma, Rudy (Joey Marquez) finally regained consciousness following his successful surgery. Knowing that they are financially incapable of producing the huge amount needed to pay for the operation, Rudy asked his son, Gabo (Coco Martin) where did he got the money from.
Initially hesitant to tell the truth, Gabo was compelled to confess and told Rudy that he accepted the job offered to him by a former inmate, who ordered him to steal the attaché cases filled with gold bars in exchange for a whopping monetary ward. Gabo further admitted that he actually got tempted to not surrender it anymore to Anino since those could give them a luxurious life. But his
conscience suddenly weighed heavily on him, so he chose to do what's right with Rudy on his mind.
Just when Gabo thought that his father would be mad at him for turning his back from wealth, Rudy assured him that he's actually proud of and glad for him. In his turn, Gabo gave her the strength to carry on by reminding him that they could overcome any challenge together.
