As expected, chaos broke out when the wealthy Jacinto couple, Ricardo (Edu Manzano) and Isabel (Carmi Martin), arrived at Barangay Ginintuang Lupa with business partners to announce that they have acquired ownership of the land where the residents' homes stand.
The situation quickly turns hostile when the Jacintos reveal their plans to demolish the community and replace it with a hotel resort and casino development. The residents strongly oppose the plan and demand that the unexpected visitors leave. As his neighbors furiously shooed the Jacintos and their companions away, Rudy (Joey Marquez) suddenly arrived at the scene and yelled at Ricardo, who was visibly caught off guard.
Consumed by anger, Rudy punches Ricardo and accuses him of continuing to destroy lives. Ricardo recognizes Rudy as well and mocks him as a lifelong loser, provoking Rudy into attacking him again and warning that he will finally make him pay for what he did to his family.
While Rudy and Ricardo exchanged blows, Betchay (played by Irma Adlawan) confronted Isabel as she tried to interfere by striking Rudy with her handbag. The argument escalated into a heated catfight between the two women before Betchay ultimately managed to restrain Rudy and pull him away from his apparent longtime nemesis.
As the Jacintos and their companions retreated, the people of Ginintuang Lupa pelted them and their entourage with trash, embarrassing their prospective Japanese investors. Humiliated and furious, Ricardo vowed to return, force the residents off the land he now owns, and settle the score with Rudy once and for all.
