Just when it was assumed that he would follow the advice of some of his fellow lucky stars and accept Banker’s final offer of P65,100 before opening the last two briefcases, Negi decided to take a gamble instead. He said, “NO DEAL,” hoping against hope that his chosen briefcase contained the remaining high amount of P150,000 and not the remaining low amount of P200.
Unfortunately, luck was not on his side, as his briefcase turned out to contain the latter amount, leaving him visibly frustrated at first before eventually coming to terms with the result.
When asked by host Luis Manzano how it felt to play again on “Kapamilya Deal or No Deal,” the comedian shared that the experience brought back memories of the show’s earlier seasons. Thus, he was still super excited to play for the current season.
Having worked together for years and formed a close friendship, Luis seemingly couldn’t resist teasing Negi and Long Mejia before the May 17 episode wrapped up. Bad luck may have struck Negi, but Luis jokingly insisted that a kiss from Long might bring his good fortune back. Negi playfully replied that he would rather pay Long the equivalent of Banker’s final offer in installments than grant Luis’ amusing request.
However, Long apparently refused to be blinded by Negi’s offer and joined them onstage to fulfill Luis’ request. While Long was about to make a speech, Negi astonished everyone when he suddenly planted a kiss on him. As Long walked away, Negi quipped, “Ang dami mo pang sinasabi! Pwede namang ituloy na natin.”
