Just when host Luis Manzano thought that it was only him who had an epic surprise for Jodi Sta. Maria during her guesting on the April 26 episode of “Kapamilya Deal or No Deal,” she made sure to astonish him in return.
Before they resumed opening three more briefcases, the special guest player paused the game to reveal that, aside from her and the “Lucky Stars,” there were more people close to him who wanted to greet him with a happy birthday.
As the VTR rolled, his Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0 co-host Melai Cantiveros was the first to appear, warmly greeting him: “Happy, happy birthday, Kuya Lu. Ang aming Kuya Lu na napakagwapong may Babalu.” She went on to wish him, his wife Jessy Mendiola, and their daughter Peanut continued blessings because of how generous he is.
Next was fellow host Bianca Gonzalez, who shared that “it has been such a privilege to work and grow alongside” him. She also hoped for them to work with each other anew and for her to play on “Kapamilya Deal or No Deal” again.
Fans of the beloved music channel MYX in the 2000s were treated to a nostalgic surprise with the appearance of former video jock Chino Lui Pio, who conveyed how much he misses them and hoped for the MYX family to have a get-together soon.
The final message came from Robi Domingo, another co-host from PBB Collab 2.0, who said, “From “Deal or No Deal” to real-life decisions, ikaw talaga ang real-life banker ng buhay ko—and you know that. Thank you so much for being my mentor, not just in hosting, not just in talking, but in life. We love you so much, happiest birthday, and hope to see you soon.”
After expressing his gratitude to Bianca, Robi, and Chino, Luis leaned over to Jodi and whispered, asking who the first person in the video was. Playing along, she replied, “Si Melai. Sabi niya nagka-work na raw kayo.” He continued to poke fun at Melai joking that he might have met her somewhere before, before finally thanking her for her heartfelt message. He also corrected her in jest for saying that he’s an Aries like her, when in fact he considers himself a Taurus.
