Just when host Luis Manzano thought that only his beloved wife, Jessy Mendiola, would be joining him for his birthday celebration in the pilot episode of “Kapamilya Deal or No Deal,” he seemed to be pleasantly surprised when she revealed that she would be accompanied by none other than his dearest “momski”, Batangas Governor Vilma Santos-Recto.
Like her daughter-in-law, the veteran actress-politician also delivered a heartwarming message for the birthday celebrator, whom she has fondly called “Lucky” ever since he was a kid. She further got sentimental as she shared that he was the first person who made her feel complete, and that he has now built a beautiful family of his own with his “How-How,” Jessy, and their daughter “Peanut,” whose real name is Isabella Rose.
Laughter then erupted inside the studio when she playfully added, “Pero kung meron akong special request para sa kanya at [ipinapanalangin] ko sa Panginoon, sana madagdagan na si Peanut,” which amused everyone, most especially the couple.
Luis turned to Jessy and joked, “Parang mas mahirap pa ‘yan sa pagpili ng briefcase ah. Mas na-pressure ka pa.” Jessy quickly retorted, “Hindi, gusto ko na rin naman.”
Clearly surprised and delighted by what her wife just said, the comedic host quipped, “Eh bakit pa tayo nagta-taping?” and jested that he would simply give Jessy and Vilma P1 million each so they could all head home already.
