Vincent (Paulo Avelino) remains firm with Ricardo (Ian de Leon), insisting that he did not kill Walter (Sam Milby) in the April 1 episode of “The Alibi.”
After Claudia’s (Sofia Andres) confession about her affair with Walter, Ricardo shows Vincent the stuffed toy Claudia had given him, which contained a hidden camera. During the interrogation, Ricardo begins: “Dito mo raw nahuli ang kabit ng asawa mo, none other than your best man, Walter.”
He presses further, “Nakunan mo ba ang pagtatalik nilang dalawa sa bahay ninyo? Sobra ba ang galit mo?” Ricardo continues to push, “Hindi ka na nakapigil. Kinuha niya lahat sa’yo: ang promotion mo, ang asawa mo.” He tells Vincent not to defend himself anymore, as all the evidence they gathered points directly to him.
“Ngayon, Vincent Cabrera, tatanungin kita ulit. Ikaw ba ang pumatay kay Walter Cunanan?” Ricardo asks, urging him to confess as early as possible for everyone’s peace: his own, Cabrera News, and even his daughter. “Ano ba talagang nangyari nung gabing ’yon, Mr. Cabrera?” Vincent, fed up with the accusations thrown at him, rises from his seat and screams, “Pinatay ko siya!”
But just as they think the truth has finally come out, Vincent continues, “’Yun ba ang gusto n’yong marinig? Sinabi n’yo, ’di ba, nahuli ko si Claudia sa akto.” He adds that he even has the right to hold Claudia and Walter accountable, even to the extent of murder, but insists he did not do it, “Hindi ko ginawa dahil inosente ako at hindi ako mamamatay-tao.” He affirms this, then storms out of the room.
