After carrying out his rendition of it during BGYO’s concert last year, Akira Morishita went on to perform “Jealous” as if he were its original singer, Nick Jonas of the Jonas Brothers, in Week 12 of “Your Face Sounds Familiar.”
Drawing inspiration from the title and lyrics of the song, host Jhong Hilario dared the “Ace Idol” to an on-the-spot acting challenge, wherein Akira had to demonstrate how he is whenever he gets jealous through a skit that he had done with an audience member and host Vhong Navarro.
Regarding his transformation, Ogie Alcasid began by commenting on how his pants should have been tighter just like Nick’s, as well as pointing out the monotony and struggle in the way he sang. This was echoed by guest juror Erik Santos, who conveyed his appreciation for trying to sing like Nick and finishing it well and impressively.
“Megastar” Sharon Cuneta, meanwhile, expressed her admiration for Akira for being able to endure the long and exhausting process of putting on prosthetics, as well as really taking the effort to get the placement of another singer that is out of his vocal range.
