Alexa has performed a Korean song on the show before, so this round felt extra interesting as she took on a Spanish piece. It also felt like a full-circle moment since many years ago, she played young “Maria Mercedes” (originally portrayed by Thalía) in the Philippine adaptation of the said series.
During mentoring, Klarisse De Guzman coached her on how Thalía delivers her lines with bold attitude while maintaining that effortless balance of sultry charm. Meanwhile, coach Nyoy Volante emphasized how Thalia exudes an alluring presence without losing that youthful spark.
Hermosa! From head to toe, and even in her voice, Alexa fully embodied the Queen of Latin Pop, earning her a standing ovation from judge Ogie Alcasid.
The glowing feedback from the jury felt like the most beautiful birthday gift for Alexa, who marked her 26th birthday on February 26. Her "Your Face Sounds Familiar" family surprised her with a sweet mini celebration on set.
