If last week had us dancing to the playful groove of “boogie” and “paso doble” with Jarlo Base as he portrayed Vhong Navarro in a “Totoy Bibo" performance, this time in Round 11 of "Your Face Sounds Familiar," he went full rock mode as he transformed into Bamboo.
Jarlo and vocal coach Klarisse De Guzman had a fun mentoring session while studying the Rock Icon’s vocal style. Klarisse reminded him to find parts where he could repeat the lyrics, since that’s one of Bamboo’s signature techniques, which would help make the act more on point, considering how difficult it is to imitate Bamboo’s iconic voice.

Stepping into the world of Bamboo proved he could thrive in rock just as convincingly as he does in his natural R&B lane. Ogie also praised his intonation, which echoed Bamboo’s unmistakable tone.
“You keep surprising us,” commented Sharon Cuneta. And while there will always be only one Bamboo, Jarlo’s take came impressively close to the original
Watch out for more amazing transformations on “Your Face Sounds Familiar,” weeknights, 7:15PM on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live (KOL), A2Z, ALLTV, and iWant.
