In the ongoing criminal accusations against Ryan (Yves Flores), falsely identifying him as the murderer of Anton (Jameson Blake), Erica (Kaila Estrada) immediately comes to his aid.
Back at the Mora’s residence, Chloe (Jewel Milag) is accompanied by Joshua (Lawrence Dela Cruz) and Liezel (Mary Joy Apostol). They try to prevent her from figuring out the unfortunate events ensnaring Ryan, but she manages to discover the truth and soon meets up with Beth.
Ryan and Erica converse more on what needs to be prepared to defend his innocence and Edong’s (Jake Cuenca) scheme that targeted him. Just as Ryan mentions how he desperately wants to reunite with his family, a concerned Beth and tearful Chloe arrive.
Moments later, Ryan is temporarily held behind bars; he apologizes to Chloe, not wanting her to see him in a grave state. Chloe assures him that she doesn’t believe any of the allegations made against him and that she would never be ashamed of her father.
At the same time, Beth also asks Chloe for forgiveness, as she sees everything unfolding due to her lie fourteen years ago that unjustly imprisoned Edong, making him the unstoppable figure of vengeance.
For both her parents, Chloe expresses unconditional love, stressing that their past doesn’t matter anymore and that she only yearns for the three of them to restart their lives—to be genuinely happy together just like before.
Will Ryan, Beth, and Chloe have the chance to start all over again? Find out in “What Lies Beneath,” airing weeknights on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live (KOL), A2Z, ALLTV, and iWant.
