The Ultimate 8 gave this crowd the fan meet of their dreams!
Just a two weeks after the Big Night, the “Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0” Ultimate 8—Miguel Vergara, Princess Aliyah, Joaquin Arce, Ashley Sarmiento, Krystal Mejes, Heath Jornales, and Big Winners Lella Ford and Caprice Cayetano—reunited and spent the day bonding with their supporters in a 'fan meeting' presented by ABS-CBN Studios’ digital talk show Kapamilya Chat.
The ex-housemates’ candid, playful Kabataang Pinoy side is one of our favorite versions of them, and we got a front-row seat to all that fun energy as they played different games during the event.
We love the first challenge called “The Ultimate Race,” which brought out their competitive spirit once again while they relived some of their best memories from inside the house. The game divided them into two groups—Ashley, Princess, Joaquin, and Miguel on Team Blue, facing-off against Heath, Lella, Caprice, and Krystal as Team Red.
Each team had to pick a representative for every round. A video clip from "PBB Collab 2.0" would be shown, after which the playing members compete to answer a question related to the clip. Every correct answer earned them a puzzle piece they needed to complete an image.
The activity was extra fun because, as Ashley shared, some of them were seeing these clips for the first time since they still haven’t had the chance to marathon the whole season after the Big Night.
The opening video featured Fred Moser’s birthday celebration, which was tied to the special task they received on their first night inside the house. And then another round lined up perfectly when Princess and Krystal faced each other on a question about who Lella advised not to change oneself just to fit in. Princess obviously knew the answer since she was the one in that conversation, which actually sparked her closeness with Lella inside the house.
Of all the questions, Heath landed on the one about who the housemates voted as KISLAP Ball King and Queen, and yep, we all know it was him and Caprice. Team Red took the lead in the first three rounds, but Team Blue made a comeback with Lella—or did Joaquin just let her win? Hmm. Knowing how much of a gentleman he is to her, we wouldn’t be surprised.
But in the end, Team Red still came out on top with a question about who Big Brother gave his fourth commandment to during the weekly task “Ang Random ni Kuya." The Ultimate 8 burst into giggles as they looked back on the slight “lost in translation” moment when Lella relayed the said instruction the wrong way, which led the boys to do frog jumps around the pool instead of staying stationary in one corner. Joaquin recalled how exhausted they were after (Marco Masa even needed essential oil for his sore muscles), while Lella, still adorably sorry, laughed along with everyone.
Meanwhile, teamwork was the secret sauce in the next task, the "Number Game." Two lucky fans were picked at random to join the Ultimate 8. They were all given boards with numbers and worked together to form the correct answers to questions about “PBB Collab 2.0.”
The game started off a bit chaotic in the funniest way as they struggled to give the exact premiere date of the latest “PBB” season, but they bounced back in the next rounds by getting the answers right for the total number of episodes and houseguests, as well as the Big Night date.
And yes, this fan meet just made us even more excited for what’s next for the Ultimate 8.
