As the series comes to an end, “Roja” has drawn us into its world of violence, betrayal, and secrets that have unraveled since the pilot episode and continued to shake us up until its final week. The revelations and the chaos during the siege unleash the characters' inner turmoil, engage in heated arguments, and face the consequences of their actions.

These moments caused them to clash with one another, lash out, and struggle under the weight of their emotions and personal battles. Check out these 10 fiery confrontations that intensified our screens in “Roja.”

1. Greta finds out about Ayen and Magnus

As Greta (Lorna Tolentino) arrives home, Liam (Donny Pangilinan) tries to stop her from causing a scene after she discovers the affair between Ayen (Yassi Pressman) and Magnus (Raymond Bagatsing). Entering the bedroom, she immediately grabs Ayen by the hair, while Liam and Magnus struggle to break them apart.

Ayen insists that she and Magnus have found love in each other. “Nagmamahalan kami. Magnus, sabihin mo nagmamahalan tayo! Ma’am, sabi niya sa’kin, magsasama kami, papakasalan na niya ako, iiwanan ka na niya.” These words drive Greta to slap Ayen even harder, screaming “Demonyo ka!” at Magnus. Liam embraces Greta, who sobs in his arms.

2. Olsen and Liam’s alliance

On the night of the siege, Liam and Olsen (Kyle Echarri), already at odds, have no choice but to form a partnership to protect the other victims. Liam reminds Olsen that they were no match for the armed men. Olsen, however, insists they don’t have time to waste, “Ang mga padalos-dalos, namamatay kaagad.” Liam repeats the warning, which Olsen mistakes as an insult, feeling offended by his words.

The two erupt into a clash. “Buhay ng mga tao ang nakasalalay dito. Buhay ng mama’t papa ko,” Olsen argues, adding that even his family was at risk, including his grandfather, Lolo Ben (Levy Ignacio), who had gone to check on the situation and never returned. Olsen tells Liam they could part ways if he's not comfortable working with him, but Liam counters that it was better if they stay together. In the end, the two agree to form an alliance for the siege.

3. Olsen grows enraged with the Roja family

When Olsen learns how Wendy (Janice de Belen) ended up in jail, his anger toward Liam gets on another level, and this time, he also directs it at Greta. Wendy was imprisoned after Greta asked her to take the fall in exchange for covering Olsen’s medical expenses. With no choice, Wendy accepted Greta’s offer, serving ten years behind bars. Upon discovering this, Olsen explodes, though Wendy insists it was a decision she willingly made, “Para sa’yo, para maligtas ka. Kung hindi ko ginawa ‘yun, wala ka na.”

Olsen cuts her off, “Ano bang gusto mong palabasin, Nay? Utang ko rin kay Ma’am Greta ‘yung buhay ko? Gusto mo magpasalamat pa ako sa kanya, dahil nakulong ka dahil sa kanya? Ganon?” The confrontation abruptly ends when Nurse Claire (Rans Rifol) stops the two, prompting Connie (Sandy Andolong) to slap her and remind her that she’s alive because of Olsen.

4. Olsen confronts Liam about Greta

After learning the truth, Olsen reveals everything to Liam the moment they cross paths again. He blames Liam for their failed escape from the resort, accusing him of losing the speedboat key. He also mentions Wendy being shot by a goon after Liam revealed their hiding place to Emil (Joel Torre). “Kayong dalawa ng nanay mo, mga tuso,” Olsen spits, escalating their argument as other victims rush to stop them from fighting.

“Idadamay mo pa si Nanay sa galit mo sa akin?” Liam retorts, prompting Olsen to reveal Greta’s secret involving Wendy, despite Wendy’s pleas to stay silent. “Matagal nang damay ‘yung nanay mo, Liam. Pinaako ng nanay mo ‘yung kaso niya sa nanay ko. Kapalit ng isang milyon, sampung taon nawala sa’min dahil sa nanay mo.” He adds that Greta exploited Wendy’s situation simply because she had the means.

5. Greta’s secrets revealed in front of Liam and Magnus

As soon as Liam reunites with his parents, he immediately confronts Greta about what he had learned from Olsen. Greta, now cornered, explains that she did not want to go to jail and be separated from her family. “Natakot ako, hindi ko alam kung anong gagawin ko. Kaya kinausap ko si Wendy, sinabi ko sa kanya babawi ako sa kanya.” She adds that she even gave Wendy money after her sentence and blames her for exposing the truth.

“Gano’n po ba talaga tingin n’yo sa nanay ko? Akala ko magkaibigan kayo? Gano’n ba ‘yung tingin n’yo sa amin, na babayaran lang?” Olsen asks. Greta insists that if she hadn’t helped, Olsen would not have received medical care and might not even be alive. Hearing this, Magnus immediately stops Greta, urging her to lower her pride and apologize, but Greta refuses.

6. Liam apologizes on behalf of Greta

After the confrontation between the two families, Liam approaches Wendy and Olsen to sincerely apologize. Wendy convinces Olsen to spare Liam from his mother’s fault. “Olsen, aminado ako. Mali ‘yung nagawa ni Mama.” Liam says.

Olsen responds, “Okay. Anong gusto mong sabihin ko, salamat? Liam, baka nakakalimutan mo ‘yung isang atraso mo sa amin ah?” forcing Luna (Maymay Entrata) to step in and stop them.

7. Liam finds out the mole among the staff

As Liam realizes that there is a mole among the La Playa Roja staff, he fixes his eyes on them, observing their actions to gather clues about who the traitor might be. He focuses on Happy (Rubi Rubi), who grows nervous. “Bata ka pa lang, nandito na ako. Kilalang-kilala na ako ni Mr. and Mrs. Roja, tapos ako papagdudahan mo?” Happy’s statement fuels an argument among the group.

“Ma’am, ang tagal-tagal mo na dito, hindi pa po kayo napo-promote?” Love (Inka Magnaye) asks Happy, prompting others to suspect that she might be working with the hostage takers, since she had previously expressed her resentment toward Greta for not giving her a promotion. “Paano kung nagtatampo lang? At tsaka kung nagtatampo, involved agad sa hostage taking?” Happy defends herself, then begins pointing to others as possible suspects. Joy (Sophie Reyes) confronts Love, who fires back, leading to a fight.

8. A clash among the VIP guests

Meanwhile, the VIP guests try to figure out a way out of the banquet hall, where they are being held captive. Explosives are planted around the area, ready to detonate at the slightest touch. Maddie (Zia Grace), curious and eager to help, reaches for the bombs, but Topak (Benedict Cua) immediately stops her and lashes out.

Macky (Kobie Brown) intervenes, even throwing punches at Topak. During their argument, Topak accidentally touches a bomb, triggering it and giving them only a short time to escape before it explodes. Panic spreads as Bogs (Emilio Daez) and Macky confront Topak. They shout before the fight escalates into punches. From above, Olsen and Ice (Kai Montinola) watch the chaos and quickly step in to help them escape.

9. Greta on Wendy and Magnus’ affair

After their secrets are revealed, Greta and Wendy have the chance to talk things through. “Ikaw, kaibigan ko, matalik na kaibigan, pero pinatulan mo pa rin ang asawa ko. Anong akala mo, hindi ko kayo nakita? Hindi ko alam ang nangyari sa inyo?” Greta asks Wendy, recalling the time she discovered Wendy and Magnus’ affair. “Magpapaliwanag ako sa’yo,” Wendy begins, but Greta cuts her off.

“Na ano? Na lasing kayo? Matagal ko nang kinikimkim ito, Wendy. Pinapalampas ko lang, pero nakikita ko at nararamdaman ko na balak mo pa ring agawin ang asawa ko.” Wendy denies Greta’s claims, but Greta immediately slaps her. “Traydor!” she screams, as Magnus rushes in to separate them. Wendy cries in despair, blood dripping from her nose.

10. Liam’s outrage toward Greta

When Jericho Jacinto (Floyd Tena) finally reveals that Greta is the real mastermind behind the La Playa Roja siege, Liam struggles to grasp the truth. When he finally confronts Greta, he cannot bear the thought of lives being lost because of her crime. “I’m sorry, desperado na ako. Lubog na lubog na tayo sa utang, wala na tayong pera. Wala nang ibang paraan, ’yun lang ang naisip ko,” Greta explains. Hearing her reasons, Liam grows even angrier.

“Alam mo bang ilang ang namatay dahil dito? Hindi ’to pera, Ma, buhay ’to. Buhay ni Chief Lo, buhay ng tao natin. Lahat nadamay dahil sa’yo!” he shouts, while Greta cries harder, insisting she never wanted anyone to get hurt. Liam challenges her, pointing out that she wanted no one harmed, except Wendy. Greta pleads that she was hurt and seeks Liam’s forgiveness, but he tells her she should seek forgiveness from those whose lives were destroyed.
