During the calm night, Beth (Charlie Dizon) and Ryan (Yves Flores) engage in a lighthearted conversation, a comforting moment for the pair after Edong (Jake Cuenca) frames Ryan for Anton’s (Jameson Blake) murder and Beth painfully admits to the public the truth about her lie that unjustly incarcerated Edong.
Wanting a fresh start in their relationship, especially without lies, Beth then unravels a long-repressed secret of hers to Ryan, wherein she had almost left him and a one-year-old Chloe (Jewel Milag) years ago.
She reasons in her farewell letter at the time that she couldn’t love Ryan and Chloe in the way they should be loved and fled crying until she was found by her mother’s archenemy, who was the legal wife of Beth’s father, Danilo (Richard Reynoso), and has been a relentless critic of Beth’s mother, Marie (Jenny Miller).
Sitting beside each other by the bus terminal, the woman initially mocks Beth, but upon learning more about Beth’s intention of leaving her family behind as well as her perspective that she might be judged by the whole town of Amurao, the woman surprisingly empathizes and assures that Beth is different among Danilo’s illegitimate children.
She continues her reminders for Beth, questioning how Beth can abandon her family just for the kind of life that others would approve of, the way wherein she isn’t labeled as a mere product of an illicit affair. In response, Beth does see herself being with Ryan and Chloe forever but wants to depart from her mundane life in Amurao.
The woman ultimately encourages Beth to choose a life she really wants for herself and not for others, adding that Beth shouldn’t be like the adults around her who either didn’t take accountability for their mistakes or have let shame shackle them.
Moments later, Beth returns home, discards her letter and suitcase, and finally realizes that being with Ryan and Chloe was her greatest dream.
