Making his time count, Edong makes his way to create a different disguise to carry on his surveillance of Edward, whom he suspects might be hiding a twisted secret.
During certain periods of silence, Edong pays attention to the circulating footage of Lucas attacking Anton prior to hearing the unexpected news about Alice’s family—Scott and Seth—preparing to leave the Philippines to ensure their safety against him.
After losing more of his intended victims, Edong then makes the choice to desecrate Alice, Beth, and Mel’s dream retirement home by exposing Esther’s missing corpse in the vicinity.

Another appalling idea presents itself in Edong’s mind, and he quickly knocks Anton unconscious, with the goal of executing him. Even though Edong despises Mel, he believes Anton to be a greater evil because he has reminded him of Crisanto, Edong’s abusive father.
Right after, he moves to drag Beth’s loved ones into the mire of violence, framing Ryan for Anton’s death, which he believes would enable Beth to experience what she had imposed on Edong’s life, specifically being wrongfully imprisoned by her lie.
