Coined as the quintessential “blonde bombshell” of the 1950s, Marilyn Monroe became one of Hollywood's legendary icons, captivating audiences with her charm and enticing personality. With her breathy voice, dazzling smile, and irresistible presence, she knew how to transform the stage into pure magic.

Marilyn's timeless allure was brought to life on “Your Face Sounds Familiar,” as our favorite ka-Familiars channeled her iconic glamour and charisma in an attempt to let us experience what it was like to watch Marilyn back then.

Check out these 3 Marilyn Monroe transformations that shone on the “YFSF” stage!

Myrtle Sarrosa (YFSF Season 2, 2015) - “Diamonds Are a Girl’s Bestfriend”

Myrtle exuded the classy, sultry aura of Marilyn Monroe as she performed the timeless classic “Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend.” Channeling the blonde bombshell to perfection, Myrtle dazzled in Marilyn’s iconic gown, complete with sparkling diamond accessories that made the transformation feel complete.

Judge Sharon Cuneta noted how captivating Marilyn is as a performer, often using her lips and eyes to express herself. She added that Myrtle’s vocals and movements were very Marilyn-like. Meanwhile, Judge Jed Madela remarked that Myrtle definitely looked like Marilyn, praising her performance as really good and noting that she sang the song beautifully.

Judge Gary Valenciano, noting Myrtle as a good singer, praised her vocals and her overall performance. He expressed hope to see more of Myrtle’s talents in the coming weeks, wishing she would showcase even more of them later on.

Myrtle placed 8th at the end of the season.

Krystal Brimner (YFSF Kids Season 2, 2018) - “Diamonds Are a Girl’s Bestfriend”

Watching Krystal felt like stepping back in time to see Marilyn herself onstage, enticing the audience with her take on “Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend.” Krystal’s movements, vocals, and stage presence kept everyone glued to their seats, thoroughly entertained by her performance.

According to Judge Gary Valenciano, Krystal is far more precious than any diamond. As her performance was quite different from the past icons she has portrayed, Krystal’s theatrics and vocals, reminiscent of Marilyn, impressed Gary. He expressed his excitement for her future performances, saying, “Naniniwala ako na kayang-kaya mo talaga.”

“’Yung paggaya mo sa pagka-feminine… at kung paano ‘yung charisma ni Marilyn… kuhang-kuha mo naman, Krystal,” Judge Sharon Cuneta quipped, adding that each week gets harder as contestants like Krystal continue to improve their performances. Meanwhile, Judge Ogie Alcasid called Krystal nothing less than a “star,” expressing that he looks forward to seeing her become one of the future superstars.

Krystal placed 5th at the end of the season.

Dia Maté (YFSF Season 4, 2026) - “Diamonds Are a Girl’s Bestfriend”

Dia continues to surprise us every week with her performances, this time transforming into a sultry diva like Marilyn to sing “Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend.” The “YFSF” stage turned into a jazz classic showcase as Dia performed just like Marilyn, complete with her pink outfit and sparkling jewelry ensemble.

Since Marilyn was quite different from the past icons she had portrayed, Dia revealed that she watched Marilyn’s only performance of “Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend” online to study her movements and nuances. She also viewed Marilyn’s past movies to help her embody the icon more perfectly.

The jury was mesmerized by Dia’s performance. Judge Sharon Cuneta praised her for studying Marilyn, noting that she even looked like her. “Gayang-gaya ‘yung mannerisms ni Marilyn, lahat, even ‘yung breathy delivery ng pagkanta niya,” she said.  “Dia is in the zone,” Judge Ogie Alcasid remarked. “She’s really having fun, enjoying herself. Sobrang positive ’yon,” he added, giving his two thumbs up for Dia.

Judge Gary Valenciano told Dia that she is not just a pretty face, but a beautiful one. “Dahil dito… you have the charm. It’s nice to know that you’re doing what you can in order to come up with something like this.” He praised Dia for studying Marilyn well in preparation for her performance.

Nostalgia definitely felt glamorous in these performances that nailed the icon, transporting us straight back to Marilyn’s golden era.
