Still bothered by his mother’s current plight in the hands of Rigor (John Estrada), which he can’t share with his friends out of fear that the deranged chief of police will carry out his threat to kill Aling Myrna (Myrna Castillo), Enteng expresses his heartfelt gratitude on Tanggol (Coco Martin), who promises to do everything to help in their current situation along with their other friends.
As he told them that Aling Myrna indeed needs urgent medical attention after slipping on the floor and hitting her head—which was a lie he just made up in order to hide from them what was really happening—and they didn’t have money or connections to do so, Ramon (Christopher de Leon) suggested for them to once again engage in an illegal venture or activity to earn the money they needed to send Aling Myrna to the hospital.
Feeling the weight of his conscience, Enteng couldn’t help but get overly weary knowing the imminent danger that his friends are about to go through because of him. He sincerely expressed how grateful he is to Tanggol for everything that he’d done for all of them and how proud he has always been to have him as his best friend. Tanggol told him that since he had already lost his two younger brothers, he would make sure that they wouldn’t face the same fate as them, so he would never, ever forsake him.
The two then proudly conveyed their love for each other, with Tanggol giving him a warm embrace and a tap on the shoulder to show his love and support for him. Upon the departure of Tanggol, Enteng uttered a simple prayer to God to help him get through this totally mind-boggling challenge, as well as to always protect his beloved friends. As he walked away from Enteng, Tanggol apparently still couldn’t stop himself from getting worried about his close friend.
