After the Quiapo Police’s deadly encounter with Tanggol (Coco Martin) that day—not just once but twice—Ponggay (Maris Racal) couldn’t help but feel dejected and dismayed again upon seeing an election poster of him still hanging by a house on her way home from her eventful first day in service.
She plucked it and stared at the face of Tanggol, then told him through her mind how she assumed that it was him who would bring change to Manila. However, through the events that transpired that day, she concluded that the principles and convictions he displayed, as well as his promises to the people during the elections, weren’t real.
Out of frustration, she got teary-eyed upon the thought of Manileños having to fend for themselves again under another term of the Guerreros. She crumpled the poster, threw it into a garbage bin, and even stepped onto it before walking off.
