As if his misunderstandings with his family and friends weren’t enough to break his heart, Tanggol (Coco Martin) was apparently crestfallen upon learning from Ramon (Christopher de Leon) that he lost to his toughest rival, Miguelito (Jake Cuenca), in the mayoralty race.
Just when he assumed that Ramon and Don Julio (Tommy Abuel) had returned to the underground cell to annihilate his friends, Tanggol was dumbfounded to hear from them that they had to prepare for the anticipated attack of the Guerreros after they won the elections.
Ramon went on to tell Tanggol that the same people he wished to help and protect unfortunately didn’t show their support for him. Instead of killing them, Wating was set free by Ramon and Don Julio as they involved them in the Montenegros’ biggest battle against the Guerreros. As Ramon asked him if he was willing to prove his loyalty to their family again, Tanggol vowed to defend and protect the Montenegros.
True enough, the Guerreros were also preparing already to attack the Montenegros, with Roberto (Albert Martinez) reaching out to Rigor (John Estrada) to ask him to lead the mission in destroying their stiffest rivals, which he willingly accepted. After all, Rigor has been wanting to exact vengeance against Ramon, Marites (Cherry Pie Picache), and Tanggol, and he saw this as a great opportunity to finally make that come true.
