As the Guerreros were already celebrating the triumph of Jackie (Angel Aquino), Miguelito (Jake Cuenca), and Roberto (Albert Martinez) in the Manila elections, they had almost forgotten about Don Gustavo (Dante Rivero), who was running as congressman.
Just when the family and their staff were confident that their winning streak would continue, it was revealed that he lost to his rival, Leo “Chairman” Mojica (Rey Campanilla), the former barangay captain of Barangay San Dimas who was a candidate from Team Tanggol. They were absolutely appalled when their chief of staff, Sandy (Sandy Aloba), revealed that Don Gustavo only got a total of 114,880 votes, while “Chairman” garnered 233,236 votes.
This, of course, enraged Don Gustavo since it was such a huge embarrassment for him, who has never lost ever since his political career began. He turned to Roberto (Albert Martinez) and accosted him about it, but the latter retorted that he had already done everything he could in order to make all of them win, so he had no idea what could have happened.
Don Gustavo then accused him of betraying him, to which Roberto replied that he would never do that and that he would check on the people they hired to manipulate the results of the elections to find out what had transpired. The old man was apparently discontented with his response, so he punched Roberto in the face and warned him about what he could do to him once he found out that he had indeed betrayed him. Based on how they reacted, it seemed that Jackie and Miguelito were both pleased by what Roberto did.
Unbeknownst to Don Gustavo, letting him lose in the elections is actually Roberto’s way of exacting revenge on him for almost killing his mother, Doña Pilar (Celia Rodriguez).
