Aside from making sure that he and Jackie (Angel Aquino) would be able to secure the positions they ran for by manipulating the results of the elections, he was also able to make Miguelito triumph over Tanggol (Coco Martin).
While the Montenegros and his neighbors in San Dimas had high hopes that Tanggol would be the next mayor of Manila, they were suddenly filled with shock and disappointment when it was announced that his stiffest rival, Miguelito (Jake Cuenca), was able to clinch the lead in the end. Miguelito received a total of 525,006 votes, while Tanggol only got 380,177 votes, making him the new mayor of Manila.
Miguelito was indeed over the moon to find out that he didn’t let their family down and went on to promise Don Gustavo (Dante Rivero) that he would not fail their family. He also conveyed his plan of making those who went against them, most especially Tanggol and the Montenegros.
