After Don Gustavo (Dante Rivero) threatened the life of her mom twice, Olivia thought that it would be best for Doña Pilar (Celia Rodriguez) if she would seek refuge somewhere far away from him. Thus, she decided to send her to Italy as soon as possible and asked a friend of hers already living there to take good care of her while she is still recuperating. Olivia promised to continue monitoring her and that she would be just one call away whenever she needed anything from her.
As Doña Pilar pleaded with her to come with her, Olivia told her that she had to win the elections first since she knew that it was something that she also wanted to happen. So, Olivia just promised to join her there afterwards, as well as to exact revenge against the Guerreros and Tindeng (Charo Santos) for all the pain that they had caused her.
Thus, Doña Pilar expressed her pride towards her for being staunch in fighting for what she knows is right and in correcting others’ wrongdoings, just like what she has been doing. Aside from making them suffer, Olivia vowed to become the mayor of Manila, too. Once they see each other again.
After her emotional farewell with Olivia, Doña Pilar went on to call Roberto (Albert Martinez) to notify him that she was about to leave since his father threatened her life. She reminded him to take back everything that had been rightfully theirs from Tindeng and that she’s utterly proud of him for being selfless and for being his true self. Like Olivia, Roberto also vowed to avenge their mom from all the maltreatments that she got from Don Gustavo.
