When Vincent (Enchong Dee) and Madeth (Xyriel Manabat) arrived at Mia (Anne Curtis)’s mansion, they were baffled to see a mysterious figure wrapped in a blanket outside the front door. Their noisy chatter woke the person, who turned out to be Matmat (Carlo Aquino), whom Mia promptly introduced as her new housemate.

Vincent once again failed to convince Mia to return to Manila and was left in disbelief when he learned that his star writer had hired Matmat as her illustrator. He argued it was the wrong decision, insisting that they would never get anything done living under one roof with so many distractions. Mia, however, remained firm, saying this setup was fine because she would have her “safety pin” with her. Right after she said those words, Patrick (Joshua Garcia) appeared at the door.

Feeling like she already had everything she needed, Mia dismissed Vincent and Madeth and shut the door on them. Madeth, secretly thrilled, took it as a sign that she wouldn’t be forced to stay at the mansion as Vincent had originally planned. But her amusement turned into concern as Vincent vented his frustrations, admitting the real reason he was pushing Mia to return to the city. He explained that Mia’s books are the only ones selling, and they're bundling other titles with hers just to keep them moving. Because of this, the company badly needs an endorsement deal to keep things afloat; otherwise, he might be forced to lay off employees.

Alarmed by the possibility, Madeth tried calling someone to ask about job openings, but Vincent snatched the phone away before she could say more. The scene ended with the two agreeing they wouldn’t give up just yet, determined to find a way to bring Mia back, with Vincent clinging to the belief that Mia remains their company’s one-of-a-kind ace writer.
