After his argument with his brother Matmat (Carlo Aquino) over accepting Mia(Anne Curtis)’s job offer to illustrate her books without even consulting him, Patrick (Joshua Garcia) ended up falling asleep outside their house that night.
He woke up the next morning to the gentle voice of Nanay Li (Rio Locsin), who prepared him a hearty breakfast, making sure he was alright as she worried over the fresh bruises on his face. Patrick opened up about his misunderstanding with Matmat, and upon hearing the story, Nanay Li’s maternal instinct immediately came through as she offered him advice. She told Patrick to first observe how Matmat would handle his new job before consulting Doc Anok (Bobot Mortiz), encouraging him instead to support his brother’s dreams and abilities.
But Nanay Li was taken aback when she later learned that Matmat’s job was actually to illustrate Mia’s books. She slightly regretted pushing Patrick to be supportive, knowing how much this would sadden and hurt her daughter Gemma (Kaori Oinuma), especially with the brothers now set to live in Mia’s mansion.
