As Tindeng (Charo Santos) declined the offer of Marites (Cherry Pie Picache), Tanggol (Coco Martin), and Ramon (Christopher de Leon) for her and Alfredo (Juan Rodrigo) to stay at the Montenegro mansion with them, the two of them agreed to go back to his house, where Roda (Joel Lamangan) had been waiting for them.
Tindeng once again thanked him for saving her from imminent death by catching the bullet that Doña Pilar (Celia Rodriguez) intentionally fired for her. Alfredo replied by telling her that what matters most for him is that she’s safe, for he could no longer forgive himself if something bad happened to her. This seemingly made her heart flutter.
She then apologized to him for her decision not to come back to him anymore after she managed to escape from Don Gustavo (Dante Rivero), which Alfredo understood since he knew that Tindeng was only protecting him from the evil and ruthless Guerreros.
Worried that the Guerreros, particularly Don Gustavo, would come after her and history would just repeat itself, Tindeng implied that she would depart from him again. But Alfredo told her that he’s willing to sacrifice himself for her again since being away from her felt like death by a thousand cuts anyway, which thrilled Tindeng again.
