Just when we thought that it was already the end for Fatima (Andrea Brillantes) after she was seized by PLTCOL Salvador Romero (Efren Reyes Jr.) and was taken as a hostage by him, Tanggol (Coco Martin) came just in time to rescue her.
Tanggol tried to end their confrontation diplomatically by asking Col. Romero to set Fatima free and to not involve an innocent person like her in the war that was supposedly just between him and the Guerreros. But his words fell on deaf ears as Col. Romero was determined to accomplish the mission given to him by Mayor Roberto Guerrero (Albert Martinez) and help them keep their domination in the City of Manila at all costs.
Meanwhile, even though her life was already in danger, Fatima still chose to tell Tanggol to run away and save himself since the Manileños need a hero like him who will defeat the Guerreros.
In the end, Tanggol was able to save Fatima and himself from imminent death after tricking Col. Romero that he would indeed surrender to him. Just when the corrupt cop was about to shoot him after throwing away his gun, Tanggol was able to catch it just right in time and fired multiple shots at Col. Romero that led to his death.
