As Roberto (Albert Martinez) interrogated Marites (Cherry Pie Picache) about the documents, Don Gustavo (Dante Rivero) was able to remember her as the woman who helped him when he passed out during their family’s campaign rally in Quiapo. Unlike his wife, Doña Pilar (Celia Rodriguez), Don Gustavo was actually stoked to see her again because he’d been wanting to thank her in person for her good deed.
In return, Marites told him that the reason behind her surprise visit was because there’s something that he needed to know about her real identity. She went on to introduce herself as the daughter of Matilde Asuncion (Charo Santos), the woman whom she sexually harassed and eventually got pregnant many years ago.
After hearing Marites’ story, Don Gustavo turned emotional and said that he had been looking for them over the past decades since he wanted to know if they were still alive. With tears in their eyes, Don Gustavo and Marites hugged as the rest of the Guerrero family watched in confusion, shock, and disgust.
