For most of us, mothers are definitely one of the most important people in our lives. Aside from taking good care of us and showering us with love ever since we were young, they are also the ones who have shown us unwavering support in everything that we do or wish to pursue. That’s why it has been quite easy for us to follow our dreams and spread our wings.
And this seems to be the case for the stellar cast of “Saving Grace: The Untold Story,” who have gained the all-out support of their mothers in their pursuit of making it to the entertainment industry and eventually thrive.
In celebration of Mother's Day, the stars of “Saving Grace” send love to their moms through these moving messages, all compiled in one special video."
Let us begin with Elisse Joson, who expressed her love for her Mommy Christine by saying, “To my mommy, I love you so much. Kahit na minsan o madalas tayong nagkaka-eye-to-eye, mahal na mahal kita and I always cherish the moments that we have together.” Besides, she’s also grateful for all the things that she continues to do for her although she’s already a full-fledged adult and a mom herself.
As she plays the villain Sarah Banaag in “Saving Grace,” Jennica Garcia shared that it has made her appreciate more her mom, veteran actress Jean Garcia, who has taken on numerous kontrabida roles throughout her decades-long acting career.
“Gusto ko lang sabihin na sobrang proud ako sa’yo, lalo na sa larangan ng pag-aartista. Hindi ko na-realize na ang hirap palang maging kontrabida. Sobrang galing mo talaga!” Jennica said, then added, “Good job, mom!”
He may be despised for being an abusive stepdad and a gaslighting partner, but you’ll definitely admire Christian Bables once you hear his special message for his Mommy Bing.
“I want you to know and I would like you to always remember na nandito ako hanggang dulo. ‘Yong pagmamahal na ibinigay mo sa akin, sususklian ko ng milyon-milyong pagmamahal. ‘Yan ang pangako ko sa’yo. So, I hope, kung ano mang anxieties and worries mo sa future, sana mawala ‘yan dahil mahal na mahal kita,” he conveyed.
In his 20 years in showbiz, Sam Milby has his Mommy Elsie to thank for the unconditional love and unwavering support that she has given him and his sister.
“Thank you so much for always being there when we needed you, for being supportive with whatever decisions we want to do in our lives. I know we’ve had our differences every now and then, but you’ve always just been there,” he stated.
He also expressed his appreciation to Mommy Elsie for not pushing them into a certain career that they might not have wanted but being supportive with their interests. He ended his message by remarking how thankful he is that she is their mom.
Janice de Belen kept her message very short yet profound as she only wanted to tell her late mom, Cynthia, “I miss you.” It can be recalled that she and her sister Gelli de Belen bade farewell to their mom in 2016 as she passed away due to organ failure.
Like Janice, Sharon Cuneta has already lost her beloved mom, too, who died in 2014. In her message for her, the Megastar enumerated the many things she’s been yearning to happen or do with her again if given the chance.
She wishes to have more time with her, for Mommy Elaine to be still here to watch her grandkids grow up, and for them to cook and travel together more. She also misses laughing with her and being scrubbed by her mommy on her head and back. She concluded her message with a heartfelt, “I love you, mom.”
Last, but definitely not the least, is Julia Montes, who delivered her message to her speech and hearing-impaired mom with matching sign language. She told her Mama Gemma, “Thank you sa lahat ng tulong at pagmamahal. And always remember na I love you.”
