Despite already having a girlfriend, this apparently does not stop Miguelito (Jake Cuenca) from preying on women in order to satisfy his lust and just to display machismo. And even though he’s currently in a relationship with the sexy bombshell Allyry (Franki Russell), he seems to be not content with her, for he has his eyes set now on another woman—Patrolwoman Paula “Ponggay” Garcia (Maris Racal).

It can be recalled that they initially crossed paths at the Quiapo Police Station during his and Roberto’s (Albert Martinez) recent meeting with Rigor (John Estrada). Since Ponggay is undeniably beautiful, Miguelito was obviously smitten by her. Thus, he didn’t just strike up a conversation with her but also offered her a job to become his close-in security officer—in spite of already having plenty of bodyguards surrounding him.

Ponggay initially declined it, telling him that she couldn’t handle another responsibility since she already has a lot of things to do at the precinct, aside from not being certain that their station commander would allow her. But being the highly persistent and supercilious person that he has always been, he refused to get “no” as an answer, so he tried to persuade her by promising to provide her with a pay higher than the salary she has been receiving.

Police Lieutenant Hector Victorino (Aljur Abrenica) and her bestie-slash-colleague Patrolwoman Chona Vasquez (Via Antonio) even tried to meddle and stop their negotiation but to no avail. Although he was evidently reluctant, Ponggay still opted to accept his offer on the condition that he would have to hire Chona as well, which Miguelito instantly approved.

And just on their first day at their new duty, Ponggay and Chona weren’t just met with an appalling discovery about the Guerreros but also a violent reaction from Jackie (Angel Aquino), who’s apparently not pleased to find out that they are the ones tapped to ensure the security of Miguelito. She fears that having a beautiful lady like Ponggay around might bring him into another trouble, considering what had happened when Fatima (Andrea Brillantes) came into his life.

Aside from her beloved son, Jackie confronted the two patrolwomen as well, asking if they could do the job and reminding them of the responsibilities that they have to accomplish every day. And it seemed that Ponggay would never gain the approval of Jackie after she clapped back at her for belittling their capabilities as female cops, which definitely didn’t sit well with her.

And in the behind-the-scenes interview of CCM Film Productions with Jake and Angel, the two enthusiastically enlightened us about this matter.

Staying in character, Jake enumerated Miguelito’s criteria in choosing his close-in security, explicitly, “Siyempre dapat maganda, dapat babae, dapat magaling”—which Ponggay is apparently able to meet. Thus, she would be assigned as his personal security, while Chona, whose characteristics he finds insufficient for the position, he will designate for general security.

As we all know, it was only Ponggay whom he was supposed to hire since he has ulterior motives towards her. However, since he had no choice but to heed the condition set by Ponggay, he was compelled to have Chona aboard as well.

On the other hand, when asked what would Ponggay discover about Jackie now that she and Chona are already able to infiltrate their family, she related that it could be everything that her character has been doing—putting up a party-list dedicated to women and being its representative—are really all just for show.

When quizzed if Ponggay is going to be a “distraction” or a “threat” as close-in security personnel of Miguelito, Angel strongly believes that as Jackie, Ponggay is definitely going to be a distraction for her son.

“Kasi ganoon naman siya sa mga babae. They all come and go. Pero siyempre, makikita natin ‘yon habang mas lumalalim ‘yong dynamics nila. Makikita ko kung mai-in love ba si Miguelito. Kapag na-in love si Miguelito, ‘yon na, threat na talaga ‘yon. Pero sa ngayon, the way I know my son, distraction lang sila. Distraction lang si Ponggay,” she conveyed.

Now that it’s highly inevitable for them to see each other every day, are we going to see more confrontations between Ponggay and Jackie? Well, you better not miss an episode of “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo”, weeknights at 8 PM, on Kapamilya Channel, A2Z, TV5, iWant, and Kapamilya Online Live (KOL).
