She may have abhorred him, but Tindeng (Charo Santos) was left with no choice but to plead to Don Gustavo (Dante Rivero) to set Alfredo (Juan Rodrigo) free, as Roberto (Albert Martinez) threatened to surrender him to the police and file charges against him after what he did to his father.
Although it apparently broke his heart to see how Tindeng swallowed her pride in order to save the man whom she confessed is special to her, Don Gustavo still heeded her request as his way of attesting how truly important she is to him. He told her, “Utang mo sa akin ‘to, Matilde. Magkikita pa tayo.”
Since they were surrounded by many people, Roberto took it as an opportunity to make their family appear as heroes by telling Tindeng that he actually already paid for the bail of her daughter, Marites (Cherry Pie Picache), since he didn’t want her half-sister to rot in jail. As the two parties parted ways, Don Gustavo tried to quiz his son about it, but Roberto dismissed him and asked him instead why he was there.
Don Gustavo told him that he’s hoping to start afresh with Tindeng, which Roberto found preposterous since she has been vehemently mad at him. Roberto went on to remind Don Gustavo how he cheated on his mother—who respected, supported, and took good care of him—for his mistress, but the old man argued that Roberto would never understand him.
As Roberto advised him to stop being delusional, Don Gustavo maintained that he’ll make sure to get Tindeng again. He vowed to do everything to convince Tindeng to allow him back into her life.
Meanwhile, Roda (Joel Lamangan) and Alfredo couldn’t help but be worried about Tindeng now that Don Gustavo had found a reason to get a grip on her.
