This was what Roberto (Albert Martinez) advised Miguelito (Jake Cuenca) with regard to continuing the Guerrero kind of public service as the new mayor of the City of Manila. While public servants like them are expected to put the welfare of their constituents at the forefront, it’s completely the other way around for their family, as they always think of ways they can embezzle from the public that are supposed to benefit the Manileños.
Roberto inculcated in him that he doesn’t have to care about the misfortunes of their constituents since, after all, it’s not his house that is ravaged by fire, flood, or typhoon. Instead, what he should focus on while in the comforts of their home or his office is thinking of strategies to further steal from the public fund—just exactly what he and Jackie (Angel Aquino) are doing now.
With how Miguelito has been doing a great job in being a corrupt public official, Roberto couldn’t help but be impressed. He advised him to just keep it up and follow his pointers in order for him to run Manila the way he used to do as its former longtime mayor. Furthermore, he told him to do anything he could for them to be able to continue their “public service” and political dynasty in Manila for a very long time.
