A mini-press con was held to officially launch the “PBB Live Network,” the housemates’ next weekly task. The six nominated housemates, who will each headline their own live show, shared the concepts they developed, all rooted in personal stories.
Marco Masa was extra careful with his lineup because his show centers on his brother’s condition, so he wanted people who would treat the story with care. John Clifford volunteered, then Marco also added Miguel Vergarda, Lella Ford, Joaquin Arce, Inigo Jose, and Sofia Pablo. After some suggestions, he decided he’d play Justin, his brother with special needs, because he’s the only one who truly understands how he feels.
The housemates kicked off the prep for their live shows. Joaquin, chosen by Marco for his brother-centered story, looked really glad to be included in the team.
Inside the confession room, Joaquin shared how much he appreciated being chosen because Marco’s story hit close to home. He explained that he was born with a hearing disability—deaf in his right ear—yet he never felt any negativity about it, which aligns perfectly with Marco’s message of showing that even with Down syndrome, Marco's brother Justin was never made to feel “less” by his family.
He added that much like Marco's parents to Justin, his parents also never treated him like he was less capable or fragile. They raised him with so much encouragement that, growing up, he started seeing his hearing disability as a strength because it taught him how to pay deeper attention to others, how to become a good listener.
The nominated housemates this week are Marco Masa, Anton Vinzon and Heath Jornales for the Kapuso/Sparkle group, and Carmelle Collado, Eliza Borromeo, and Krystal Mejes for the Kapamilya/Star Magic lineup. One Kapamilya and one Kapuso will be welcomed back by the outside world this Saturday.
