After forcefully taking Marites (Cherry Pie Picache) back from their kindhearted neighbors who had tried to help her escape from being locked up by him inside their abode, Rigor (John Estrada) brought her home where he reproached her for attempting to run away from him.
What she did only made Rigor more furious, especially that it happened on the day that her son, Tanggol (Coco Martin), and her paramour, Ramon (Christopher de Leon) succeeded in taking away Don Julio (Tommy Abuel) from the Quiapo Police while he and his right-hand man, Franco (John Medina), were being transported going to the city jail.
Seething with anger, Rigor vowed to Marites that he would use his power as the newly appointed chief of the Quiapo Police to exact vengeance against anyone who had crossed him. Besides, he also warned her about not allowing her family with Ramon and Tanggol to be complete again because he would never let it happen.
While she was still hoping for her to be reunited with Tanggol and Ramon, Rigor was completely keen to make them pay for everything they’d done that indeed ruined his life, even though that would mean having to use Marites as bait.
