Ponggay (Maris Racal) had cornered Tanggol (Coco Martin)'s group and was determined to arrest them, but he calmly asked her to leave before anything dangerous happened to her, reminding the female cop that she's alone and that if the standoff turned into a bloodbath, his men would ensure they would not be the ones to fall nor would they allow themselves to be sent back to jail. Realizing she could not handle them on her own, Ponggay walked away in frustration and went home seething.
She immediately pointed her gun at Tanggol when he knocked on her door, though he remained composed and explained that he had come to apologize for his friends' behavior toward her. However, Ponggay stubbornly refused to accept his apology, forcing Tanggol to declare that if she intended to treat him as an enemy, then he would have no choice but to consider her one as well the next time they crossed paths.
After this tense encounter, Mauro (Richard Quan) thought it might finally be time to tell his daughter Ponggay the truth about the power plays and betrayal he endured from the Guerreros back when he was still in police service.
Ponggay eventually calmed down and rushed after Tanggol to apologize in return, and the two reached an agreement, with Ponggay holding on to his promise that once he proves the Guerreros had cheated in the election and that he had been the rightful mayor all along, they would work together to help put Manila back in order, so long as she keeps him off the authorities’ radar in the meantime.
Ponggay agreed, on her own condition as well, stating that when everything's finally resolved, Tanggol would have to surrender both his father and grandfather so they could answer for the crimes they had committed.
