Finding herself alone at their house with the front door unlocked, Marites (Cherry Pie Picache) had seized the opportunity for her to finally fulfill her plan of getting away from her abusive husband, Rigor (John Estrada).
Unfortunately, just when she was about to get out of the door with a bag that contained some of her stuff, Rigor was able to catch him and ruthessly dragged her back into their house again. She begged for his mercy, only to be slapped and assaulted by him.
She tried to fight by stabbing him with a kitchen knife, but Rigor was quick enough to snatch it from her and thrusted it into her right waist after swearing that no other man could ever own her except him.
The scene might have appeared real, but it was revealed to be only a figment of Ramon’s (Christopher de Leon). He relayed it to his son, Tanggol (Coco Martin), who woke him up upon realizing that he was having a frightening dream. Tanggol agreed when Ramon said that they needed to save her as soon as possible, with the former declaring that they would do it the following day.
