Being the good friend that he has always been, Mando (Allan Paule) told Marites (Cherry Pie Picache) that he firmly believes that she only got entangled in the case of the Montenegro drug syndicate and advised her to prepare herself as he brought her to the office of the new Quiapo Police chief, Rigor (John Estrada).
Mando refused to tell her whom she would speak to, so she was surprised to find out that it was her husband, Rigor. She was totally upset about it, telling him that evil people like him don’t deserve to be promoted, to which Rigor argued that he got to where he is right now because of his own hard work.
As Rigor told her that he’s already giving her freedom, Marites asserted that she would rather stay in prison than go back to him, who had hurt her physically, mentally, and emotionally. Rigor gaslighted her anew by reminding her about how she abandoned their family and that she couldn’t leave him again because they are still married, so she belongs to him forever no matter what happens.
