The more time the “Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0” housemates spend together, the more they reveal their 'kulit' side.
In the October 29 episode, viewers got a front-row seat to a hilarious bonding sesh when the boys got curious about Carmelle Collado’s makeup stash. Anton Vinzon asked if he could get a mini makeover, and of course, once one started, everyone followed. The girls even joined in to help, with Lella Ford dressing up Rave Victoria in a full-on glam look, complete with a cute feminine top.
The boys were totally game as the random makeup session turned into an impromptu pageant. They introduced themselves with feminine aliases and sassy intros that had everyone laughing. And yes, each had their own “motto” but the loudest cheers went to Rave a.k.a. Raveca, who confidently said, “Kung ayaw sa akin ng mga babae, ‘pwes, sa akin ang mga lalaki.” Slayed.
Meanwhile, as the “PBB Collab 2.0” housemates continued to confront the "multos" of their past, Caprice Cayetano bravely opened up about what she called her “pandemic breakout,” a phase about the insecurities she struggled with as a former child star navigating adolescence.
Caprice shared that she was only four years old when a neighbor invited her to join acting workshops, mainly to help her find new friends and playmates, but a year later, she found herself fully immersed in the world of acting, eventually becoming a familiar face in teleseryes. Before her big comeback as a teen actress, however, Caprice went through an “awkward stage,” which a lot of child stars can relate to. It's that tricky period where it becomes hard to find roles as their appearance no longer fits the roles they once played, made even more difficult by the physical changes that come with puberty. She recalled gaining weight and dealing with breakouts, which chipped away at her confidence.
Her self-esteem took such a hit that she no longer wanted to take photos, and if she ever did, she would always wear a face mask just to hide the parts of herself she was insecure about. Thankfully, her mom helped her regain her confidence by reminding her that she was just like a caterpillar going through a transformation, and that she would bloom into a beautiful butterfly one day.
Now, Caprice’s confidence has fully returned, and along with it came a valuable lesson that no matter how tough things get, there’s always a bright side waiting to be seen. Her story ended on a playful note when Lella teased that, according to Lee Victor, Caprice is actually the “cutest” among the housemates, earning cheers from their new 'shippers.'
They say the ones who laugh the loudest often hide the deepest pain. That couldn’t be more true for housemate Lee as he tackled the "multo" that continues to linger in his life—his father whom he has never met in person.
Lee shared that his mom once worked in the UK, where she met his dad and eventually gave birth to him there. But when she returned to the Philippines, she did so with baby Lee in her arms and without his father by her side. Growing up, his mom became his entire world, and it broke his heart not just for himself but for her as well when he later learned about the lies and broken promises his father left behind, including the painful truth that he had an affair with another woman.
The next to reveal her "multo" story was Sofia Pablo, whose own experience also revolved around her father. She was only three years old when her dad walked away. During that time, her mom, who worked as a chef, developed carpal tunnel syndrome and had to undergo surgery. But on the very same day of her operation, Sofia’s father left for Singapore to be with "his girl."
From then on, it was just the two of them, Sofia and her mom, facing life together. For a month, nurses at the hospital took care of little Sofia while her mother recovered. Eventually, her mom healed, but Sofia’s emotional wounds took longer to mend. It wasn’t until she turned nine that she found it in her heart to forgive her father, and today, her parents have reconciled as friends.
Like many people who smile easily, Ashley Sarmiento also carries pain behind her bubbly demeanor, as her “multo," just like most of her co-housemates, also had something to do with her father.
Ashley has never met him in person since birth, though as she grew older, she was able to communicate with him through social media. Every year on her birthday, Ashley would feel a certain emptiness, wishing her dad could be there to celebrate with her. As a child, whenever she saw airplanes flying overhead, she would imagine that maybe, just maybe, her father was on one of them, coming home to see her.
Before her 18th birthday last January, she even sent him an invitation, hoping he would finally show up, but he didn’t. So during her “18 Roses,” the men who stood in for her dad were the father figures she’s met through showbiz and in real life.
Still, Ashley has reached a place of peace, saying that perhaps the closure she never received from her dad was the closure she needed after all, and that she’s okay now because she’s surrounded by so much love from her maternal family.
But sometimes, the ghosts that haunt you aren’t just people; they can also be the dreams you had to let go of, like in the case of Fred Moser, whose biggest "multo" was basketball. His biggest dream was to play as a collegiate athlete, but just when he had one last chance to try out, he couldn’t make it because his family had to fly abroad to visit his father. “I think it’s time to forget the dream and get a job,” Fred said, recalling that bittersweet moment when he had to walk away from his first love.
Once again, it was a story about fathers, just like many of his co-housemates, as Joaquin Arce reflected on the "multo" that followed him through much of his life. Raised by a single mom, Joaquin admitted that growing up, he thought everything was perfectly fine between his parents who remained friends. But when the pandemic happened, he started to notice the cracks, the things that didn’t feel as okay as he once believed.
He confessed that for a long time, he harbored resentment toward his father, filmmaker Neil Arce, whom he felt was distant and whose role in his life seemed limited to financial support, paying for his education and providing for his needs, but not really being there in the emotional sense.
As he entered showbiz, the same industry his dad belongs to, their relationship began to change. For the first time, he's felt his father’s genuine support as a mentor who guides him through the ropes of the industry. Slowly, the distance between them started to fade, and Joaquin said that the hole he had carried with him for the past eighteen years finally began to feel filled.
After sharing his story, Joaquin opened up to his fellow Star Magic housemate Lella Ford about feeling a bit awkward for saying all those things. But Lella reassured him that his dad would understand. After all, he just released what he had felt for so long.
The housemates witnessed another emotional moment as Reich Alim opened up about the "multo" that still tugs at her heart—her father, who was her biggest fan from the very beginning. Ever since she started modeling at just three years old, her dad was always by her side, accompanying her to castings and photoshoots. She’s an only child, born when her parents were already in their 40s, so she was, in every sense, her father’s little princess.
In 2022, Reich got her big break when she was cast in "He's Into Her," which required her to be away for a lock-in taping. It was also during the pandemic when health protocols were strict and visits were nearly impossible. During that time, her father caught a fever, which at first seemed mild, but after just three days, he passed away.
Reich shared how painful it was to lose the person who had been her number one supporter, especially when she couldn’t even be by his side in his final moments. From then on, she stepped up for her mom and worked hard for the both of them.
Following Reich’s heartfelt story, Miguel Vergara also shared his own "multo," which was his beloved grandmother who became like a second mom to him.
Miguel always knew he was her favorite grandchild; they were inseparable when he was little, and she showered him with love and affection. But as he grew older and started to have his own life, he slowly drifted away and stopped visiting her as often. So, his biggest regret was that he didn’t get to spend more time with her before she passed away. Still, Miguel believes that even though his grandmother is no longer here, she continues to watch over him and remains his biggest fan from above.
Following Miguel's sharing, Eliza Borromeo confessed about her own “multo," which, unlike the others, wasn’t a person but a painful chapter in her journey—her schooling. She revealed that her parents wanted her to focus solely on her studies instead of pursuing acting, believing she had no real talent for showbiz. However, their family doesn't have a stable source of income, which pushes her to want to work and help out financially.
When she told her parents that she wanted to balance both school and acting, they didn’t allow her, worse, they discouraged her further. "Hindi raw kakayanin ng utak ko," said Eliza.
Eliza struggled to open up, admitting that she often felt conflicted about speaking her truth because she had been taught by her parents which parts of her life were acceptable to reveal and which parts she had to keep hidden.
After all the housemates had shared their stories, Big Brother gave them a message, saying, "Sa buhay, hindi lahat ng multo ay 'yung mga bagay na hindi natin nakikita. Minsan ito ay mga alaala, pagkakamali at karanasang pilit nating kinalilimutan." He told them that while facing these ghosts will never be easy, as it takes courage and strength to confront the fears that have long been buried and the wounds that have yet to heal, but in doing so, they will discover their strength and the kind of people they are meant to become.
After getting candid about her "multo," emotions continued to pour out of Eliza as she went to the girls’ bedroom, where housemates Krystal Mejes and Sofia Pablo stayed by her side to help her process everything and lighten the weight she was feeling.
Eliza was scared about how her family might react to what she said. Krystal and Sofia tried to comfort her, with Krystal reminding her that it’s okay if others don’t understand her as long as she understands herself.
When Eliza finally calmed down, Miguel checked on her and asked how she was feeling, to which she answered honestly that she was scared, that the expectations and pressure around her were making her anxious. Miguel advised her to stop overthinking because it would only steal the joy of her experience inside the Bahay ni Kuya.
