Just when it was presumed that they were going to run away again, it turned out that Santino (Ronwaldo Martin) and Erika (Gillian Vicencio) actually went back to the Dimaguiba residence. They went there not just with his father, Rigor (John Estrada), but also with her family, who had been wanting to bring her back to their home with him.
Aside from calling the police to take the bodies of those who were killed inside the house of the Dimaguibas, a doctor was also summoned to check on the condition of Erika, who suffered from bleeding due to the extreme stress she and Santino had gone through to escape from the group of Lucio (Ronnie Lazaro).
As Santino came near to Erika to check on her, Jackie scolded him and asked him to go away. Roberto (Albert Martinez) then told Rigor not to worry about what happened to their children anymore, as they would just take Erika with him. However, Rigor retorted that Santino is willing to take responsibility for Erika and their yet-to-be-born child.
Roberto found it preposterous, considering the situation of the Dimaguiba family. Thus, he insisted that Erika should be in their custody to make sure that she would be taken care of. Rigor implied that they’re capable of looking after her despite their situation, with Santino interjecting that he would not let her and their child be taken away from him.
Jackie chimed in by telling Santino that she was supposed to be the one to not allow Erika to be taken away by anyone from her as the mother. But Erika asserted that she would not come with them because she knew all too well that they would just trick her into getting rid of the baby.
The newly elected congresswoman went on to rebuke her daughter for letting herself be impregnated by a poor lad, as well as Santino for his proposal that he and Erika be married to each other. As Erika assumed that the only reason why her mom highly objected to their relationship was due to their socio-economic status, Jackie revealed to them that it’s because they are full-blooded cousins through their grandparents, Don Gustavo (Dante Rivero) and Tindeng (Charo Santos).
Despite knowing the truth, Erika still refused to go home with them unless she could tag Santino along. And much to everyone’s surprise, Roberto agreed for Santino to come with them, to which Rigor and Miguelito (Jake Cuenca) both aired their disapproval as well. However, Roberto had already made up his mind, so Santino immediately packed his stuff.
Rigor attempted to stop him, especially when he revealed that he would also take it as an opportunity for him to find more evidence that would prove Miguelito’s connection to David’s (McCoy de Leon) death. But Santino was determined to find out the truth and seek justice for his late brother no matter what it would take.
