The music behind the highly anticipated primetime series Someone, Someday officially took the spotlight as Kathryn Bernardo, James Reid, Maja Salvador, and Dimples Romana joined Kapamilyas for the Someone, Someday Press Play: An Exclusive Fan Music Hangout on July 11, where the show's official soundtrack was unveiled through a series of live performances.

The event gave fans an exclusive preview of the songs that will accompany the series' biggest moments, while the cast shared why music is an essential part of the show's storytelling.

Kathryn said a good soundtrack has the power to instantly bring viewers back to a particular scene or character. "Iba talaga ang effect ng soundtrack sa isang story. Kapag may naririnig kang kanta, automatic ang naaalala mo 'yung mga characters, 'yung mga eksena, may ganon siyang magic," she said.

Maja agreed, adding that songs do not only remind people of memorable scenes but can also take them back to certain people and experiences. "Hindi lang sa eksena eh, [pero kahit] sa mga tao, minsan may maaalala kang tao...magre-reminisce ka bigla," she added.

Opening the soundtrack showcase was singer-songwriter Angela Ken, who delivered an intimate acoustic rendition of "Kulimlim."

Kathryn later revealed that she has long admired Angela's music, making it even more special for her to see the singer become part of Someone, Someday

The evening continued with Kapamilya singer FANA performing "Tabla Tayo," an introspective track that cleverly compares love to a game, tackling emotional stalemates, pride, and the silence that often lingers between two people.

Idol Philippines Season 2 finalist Bryan Chong then showcased his original song "Sugal" from his debut album Departure. Through his powerful vocals, Bryan captured the song's message about choosing to love wholeheartedly despite knowing the possibility of getting hurt.

The performance resonated with James, who reflected on how he approaches relationships. "To be in love completely, you have to risk being vulnerable, you have to risk getting hurt. Dapat one-hundred percent palagi."

Ireland's Got Talent Season 1 semifinalist Shaniah Rollo followed with a moving rendition of "Mag-Isa Lang Ako," while OPM hitmaker Maki energized the venue with "Abelyana," prompting fans to sing along throughout his set.

James capped off the music showcase by treating fans to live performances of "Pauwi Na" and "Sandal," bringing the soundtrack launch to a memorable close.

The unveiling comes just days after ABS-CBN dropped the official trailer of Someone, Someday on July 8, offering viewers a deeper look into the story.

The series follows Billy (Kathryn), an independent woman who has devoted her life to raising her younger brother Oliver (Migz Casimiro), supporting her family, and leading Love List, a dating app that empowers women to pursue genuine relationships. While she appears to have everything under control, her life gradually changes as her friendship with Jordan (James) grows deeper, especially when the mysterious Abby (Maja) suddenly enters her life with what appears to be a hidden agenda.

As Billy's world begins to unravel, she is forced to confront long-buried wounds and difficult choices before discovering whether someone is truly meant for her someday.

The ensemble of cast also includes Rowell Santiago, Rita Avila, McCoy De Leon, Daniela Stranner, Migz Casimiro, and more.

Directed by Chad V. Vidanes and Dolly Dulu, the modern, feel-good, and progressive series Someone, Someday premieres on July 27 at 8:45 p.m. on ALLTV2, TV5, A2Z, Kapamilya Channel, and Kapamilya Online Live on Facebook and YouTube. Viewers can also catch it first on Netflix beginning July 24, followed by iWant on July 25. It will also be soon available on TFC.
