MANILA — Fans got their first extended look at Kathryn Bernardo and James Reid's much-awaited pairing as the official trailer for the romance-thriller series "Someone, Someday" was released Wednesday.
The trailer introduces Bernardo as Billy, an empowered woman who is a devoted sister, capable leader and the best friend of Jordan, played by Reid.
It opens with Billy talking about her work at a dating app that helps people find "the one," before shifting to scenes that highlight her close bond with her brother and Jordan. The trailer also hints at a painful chapter from Billy's past.
The tone takes a darker turn with the introduction of Salvador's mysterious character, who appears to be stalking Billy.
Joining Bernardo, Reid and Salvador in the series are Dimples Romana, Rowell Santiago, Rita Avila, McCoy De Leon, Daniela Stranner, and introducing Migs Casimiro.
Directed by Chad Vidanes and Dolly Dulu, "Someone Someday," marks the television comeback of both Bernardo and Reid, whose most recent drama series projects were "2 Good 2 Be True" in 2022 and "Till I Met You" in 2016, respectively.
The romance-thriller series will debut on July 27 and will be available on AllTV2, A2Z, TV5, Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live (via Facebook and YouTube), and iWant.. Viewers can also also stream it first on Netflix starting July 24 and 48 hours in advance on iWant starting July 25.
