Veteran actors Ryu Seung-ryong and Yoo Hae-jin took home late Friday the coveted grand prizes at South Korea's 62nd Baeksang Arts Awards.
Seung-ryong, known for the film "Miracle in Cell No. 7" and the superhero series "Moving," won the daesang (grand prize) in the broadcast category at the prestigious awards ceremony for his role in "The Dream Life of Mr. Kim," in which he plays a corporate manager who loses his job after years of success.
Hae-jin, meanwhile, won the grand prize in the film category for his role in the historical drama "The King's Warden," which has become the highest-grossing film in South Korean box office history.
In the broadcast category, Netflix's "You and Everything Else" won best drama. Starring Kim Go-eun and Park Ji-hyun, the series follows two best friends whose lives have been intertwined since childhood.
Hyun Bin was named best actor for Disney+'s political crime thriller "Made in Korea," while Park Bo-young took home best actress for her dual role as twins in "Our Unwritten Seoul."
Lee Chae-min won best new actor for his portrayal of a seemingly cold tyrant king in the period romance "Bon Appétit, Your Majesty."

In the film category, Hae-jin's "The King's Warden" also received the Gucci Impact Award, while another one of its stars — K-pop idol-turned-actor Park Ji-hoon — won best new actor.

Acclaimed filmmaker Park Chan-wook's black comedy "No Other Choice," which follows a desperate man who kills his rivals while competing for a new job, won best film.

Park Jeong-min earned another Baeksang trophy this year, winning best actor for "The Ugly," while Moon Ga-young took home best actress for "Once We Were Us."
Park Ji-hoon of "The King's Warden" and "Bon Appétit, Your Majesty" actress Lim Yoona also won the Naver Popularity Award.
Established in 1965, the Baeksang Arts Awards is regarded as one of the most prestigious award ceremonies in the country, honoring excellence in film, television and theater.
