MANILA — The newly released trailer for “Midnight Girls” gives a first look at the story of four Filipina entertainers in Japan, played by Jodi Sta. Maria, Loisa Andalio, Jane Oineza and Sanya Lopez.
The over-two minute trailer was also uploaded by its stars and director on social media on Monday.
Written and directed by Irene Villamor, the film, set in Nagoya, follows four Filipina entertainers who "form a sisterhood while facing the emotional cost of their jobs. Together, they must decide what they are truly willing to sacrifice for their dreams in a foreign land."
“Midnight Girls” will hit Philippine cinemas nationwide beginning May 13.
