MANILA -- It’s official: "Blood Versus Duty" will be Gerald Anderson and Richard Gutierrez’s action series slated for release this year.
Anderson and Gutierrez are joined by Bela Padilla, Baron Geisler and Barbie Imperial.
“We’re all ready to get to work nadagdagan pa ng cast,” says Anderson, “What a blessing that we get to do this.”
Richard and Baron are reunited after their successful action series "Incognito," and they assured the viewers that they have something new to offer.
“Totally different storyline, play different characters, you will find out soon how different this will be from 'Incognito,'” said Richard.
Looks-wise, the creative and production team of "Blood Versus Duty" collaborated with the artists in creating their characters from scratch to give the audience a breath of fresh air, compared to their recent projects.
“In fairness kay Chard, he really wants this to be completely different from what he did in the past, especially sa looks ako ganun din,” said Gerald.
“I personally have been looking at my own pegs and researching what an intel officer should look like but also how far I can take her on the screen,” Bela added.
In terms of training, Bela and Barbie started undergoing workshops and physical preps for the show.
“So I did combat training and gun handling. On the side, I did my own training para lang I have an idea where I am at physically,” said Bela. “Iba yung action dito, this is gonna be very different.”
“For us naninibago kami dito, we want for us at least be on the same level as the boys when we start filming, especially me I’m so competitive hindi ako papatalo, kailangan game on!” she added.
As for Barbie: “It was my first time to do Muay Thai sobrang heavy pala nun, kinaumagahan pag gising ko nilagnat ako.”
Fortunately for her, she was guided by Richard in her training session for the action scenes.
The cast and team will soon grind in a top-secret location.
“Napakagandang probinsya na hindi pa nafefeature on TV ever. The title speaks for itself, medyo magegets ng audience what we’re fighting for here,” said Bela.
"Blood Versus Duty" will premiere this first quarter of 2026.
