Filipino actor Nico Antonio bagged a role in the new K-Drama of Korean actress Park Min-young titled Confidence Queen.
Nico gave fans a glimpse of his appearance in the drama by sharing Instagram snapshots of his scenes with Min-young and Korean actor Joo Jong-hyuk, where he can be seen driving a car.
Fans online were quick to react to Nico's post.
"WOW! Ang lupit mo talaga," one fan commented.
"Sana all na lang talaga. Park Min-young 'yan eh," another fan said.
Confidence Queen filmed scenes in the Philippines. The K-Drama, which premiered on Prime Video on September 6, follows Min-young, Jong-hyuk, and Park Hee-soon as clever con artists who team up to bring down corrupt villains. The 12-episode series, which is a mix of comedy and action, drops two new episodes weekly every Saturday and Sunday and is available in more than 240 countries and territories.
As per recent report by Manila Bulletin, Min-young was convinced to do the project as she wanted to explore other genres beyond romantic-comedies.
"As a lot of you may know, I think I was an actor that people expected a lot of rom-com genre from. But honestly only about three titles in my career were rom-coms and I think I've always had a thirst for other genres," she stated.
The actress said she was instantly captivated by the script and the opportunity to work with her co-stars.
"When I read this script, I think that this character is such a great character that I don't think there would be an actress who wouldn't be drawn to her," she remarked.
"And as for the cast as well, I have long said that I am a big fan of Hee-soon so getting to work with him was a huge plus. And also I had been following Jong-hyuk's career as well and having worked with him, all I can say is he's just really too adorable and with everyone that worked on this show, we really put our hearts and souls into it. So I think that was why I was drawn to this," she added.
Meanwhile, Nico is an actor who starred in Kapamilya shows for the past years including Sins of the Father and FPJ's Batang Quiapo.
He also currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Quantum Films as per his Instagram page.
