Veteran actress Charo Santos has officially arrived in Toronto, Canada ahead of the special screenings of her latest film "Only We Know" with leading man Dingdong Dantes.
Friends and supporters warmly welcomed Santos at the airport, with the actress visibly touched by the outpouring of love.
“I’m so happy to be back here in Toronto. I have friends here. Thank you for supporting my film with Dingdong, 'Only We Know.' We have several screenings on June 20 and 21 at Scarborough Cineplex, so I hope to see you all there,” she said.
When asked about the overwhelmingly positive reviews the movie has been receiving, Santos expressed deep gratitude.
“I’m very, very grateful for the very positive feedback. Maraming maraming salamat po. We really worked hard on this film. It was a beautiful experience filming the movie. And yeah, we’re getting very, very positive response… And through word of mouth, hopefully more Filipinos will get to see this beautiful story of love and friendship,” she said.
DINGDONG OFF TO TORONTO
Meanwhile, Dantes is also off to Toronto.
In an interview before his flight, Dantes shared his excitement about reuniting with overseas Filipinos and promoting the film internationally.
“Ito hahabol ako, mauuna kami sa Canada then diretso na sa Los Angeles. 'Yung huling punta ko ng Canada before pandemic pa yata so excited ako na makabalik. Pero more importantly, excited din ako to share the movie house with our mga kababayan sa Canada and also the United States,” he said.
"Only We Know" is a heartfelt romantic drama directed by Irene Villamor, with international screenings kicking off in Toronto before heading to Carson, California.
It will be screened on June 20–21 at Cineplex Scarborough Town Centre in Toronto, Canada, and on June 22 at Cinemark Carson in Los Angeles, California.
