Ahn Hyo-seop is set to star in a new K-Drama.
According to a report by news1.kr as translated by Soompi, the Korean actor will headline the series titled Sold Out Again Today alongside Chae Won-bin.
The series follows the story of Matthew Lee, a hardworking farmer juggling three jobs, and Dam Ye Jin, a renowned show host battling severe insomnia.
Hyo-seop plays the role of Matthew Lee, a farmer cultivating a rare miraculous ingredient. He’s also the CEO of a natural cosmetics company and a cosmetics R&D researcher. Always busy living disciplined life in the village, he harbors a mysterious secret that hints at a deeper past.
Meanwhile, Won-bin takes on the role of Dam Ye Jin, a top-selling host at a major South Korean home shopping network. Known for selling out everything from gadgets to fashion, her relentless drive to succeed leads to severe insomnia after sacrificing sleep for productivity.
Hyo-seop previously starred in the series A Time Called You, Dr. Romantic, Business Proposal, and Lovers of the Red Sky.
Back in October 2023, the actor visited the Philippines for a fan meeting with a local clothing brand.
The Korean star expressed his elation to meet his Filipino fans for the first time.
"Actually, the past few years I have been very busy due to different shoots and projects so there were a lot of things that I really wanted to do and wanted to try so to be given this opportunity, I am really happy that I got to visit the Philippines," he said in an interview with the Philippine media ahead of his fan meeting.
Asked about his experience touring in Asia, he shared: "While I was in Korea, while I was working, I was actually thinking, do my fans really exist? But through this fan meet I was able to really see clearly with my eyes the love of my fans from different countries."
"I'm able to come to the Philippines and I will make sure that I will have a great time here as well. My next stop will be in Japan and that will be my concluding stop for me," he added.
