South Korean singer-actor Rowoon will enlist in the military for his mandatory service in July, according to a report.
Management company FNC Entertainment confirmed an earlier report that the 28-year-old star, whose real name is Kim Seok-woo, will enlist on July 21, Korean entertainment news outlet Soompi reported.
"He will enter the training center and fulfill his military duty as an active-duty soldier in the Army," FNC was quoted as saying in the Soompi article.
Under South Korean law, most able-bodied men must perform at least 18 months of military service.
Rowoon debuted in 2016 as a member of the K-pop boy group SF9 before shifting his focus to acting after leaving the band in 2023.
He began his acting career with a supporting role in the teen drama "School 2017," and later took on lead roles in series such as "Extraordinary You," "She Would Never Know," "The King's Affection" and "Destined With You."
The actor is also set to star in the Disney+ historical drama "The Murky Stream."
